Resting Phase

Apnoea Phase
An exhale, followed by apnoea, closes the nose and glottis, so air cannot re-enter into the lungs afterwards. The rib cage rights itself under a “hollowing” effect similar to an abdominal vacuum brought about by the practise.
Hence, the expansion of the rib cage creates internal pressure which reflexively triggers the activation of pelvic floor and deep core muscles. It strengthens developing core muscles, stability, and better postural alignment with minimum load on the body.
