Low Pressure Fitness Classes in Daglish

Low Pressure Fitness Classes in Daglish

Low-Pressure Fitness is a completely new technique that engages the breath and the body to activate and strengthen the deepest of core musculature. These muscles may be weakened through the course of time by injury, surgery, pregnancy, sickness, or lack of use. This weakening can create such imbalances as postural distortions, joint instability, and limitations in bladder, bowel, and sexual health.

At Inhale Exhale, we structure our Low Pressure Fitness Classes in Daglish in a systematic, progressive manner to relieve pressure in the thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic cavities. Through the integration of hypopressive breathing techniques, core body posture awareness is developed, making it accessible and effective for any fitness level.

What Are Our Classes Aimed At?

Two Phase Of Breathing

Low Pressure Fitness is a specific breathing exercise aimed at involved core function and body posture together with overall stability enhancement. It is a two-phase approach scientifically proven to provide duality action in strengthening the muscles located at the deep core and the pelvic floor.

The Two Phases of Low Pressure Fitness:
✔ Rest Phase
This phase involves outward movement through controlled diaphragmatic breathing to lower ribs so that the lung capacity, relaxation, and engaged deep core are optimised. This way, improved posture and stability are naturally instigated.

Apnoea Phase
There is a vacuum effect on the inside of the rib cage due to the off-breath hold after exhaling completely; it sets off negative pressure, which then stimulates the deep core and pelvic floor muscles. Stronger core, better posture, and a higher degree of stability all achieved without overstraining the body.

At Inhale Exhale, Low Pressure Fitness Classesdaglish focus on teaching these techniques for safety and effectiveness by good coaching. Those sessions will hallmark initiators for optimal well-being through improved posture and balance.

Techniques & Benefits

Where did this technique come from?
Hypopressives have actually been around for a long time. The technique has been practiced for centuries in certain teachings of Yoga as Udiyanha Bandha. Bodybuilders in the 1970s such as Arnold Schwarzenegger used it during competitive posing to slim the waistline for accentuating their torso. In the 1980s research began to emerge that focused on its impact on the pelvic structures. In 2004 in Spain, Dr. Tamara Rial and Piti Pinsach started to develop research and create a movement system using the hypopressive concepts. By 2014, this movement system would evolve into Low Pressure Fitness.
LOW PRESSURE FITNESS
Who can benefit from LPF Hypopressives?
The bottom line is: this is a movement system. Just like Yoga and Pilates, LPF can be a progressive way to improve your fitness level, core strength, posture and breathing mechanics. The poses and transitions follow technical principles and postural foundations to accentuate strengthening along the myofascial lines (groups of muscles and connective tissue). But they offer this through a “pressureless” workout. LPF can be tailored to your specific health needs and diagnosis. Overall, this system helps to re-educate your postural muscles, your breathing mechanics, and the deep muscles of the core canister. It also improves cardio-pulmonary fitness and balances your nervous system. Specific pelvic health conditions like prolapse, incontinence (urinary leaking), and pelvic pain have also shown significant improvements.
